Far-right activists suspected of racist attacks detained in the Moscow region

On February 17, 2010, far-right activists suspected of racist attacks in the Moscow region were detained in the Moscow region.

The detainees are nine students from schools in Lobnya and Moscow aged 14 to 17, as well as 19-year-old resident of Mozhaisk Anatoly Karmanov and 19-year-old resident of Lyubertsy Gennady Nefedov.

Due to the fact that the actions of the suspects contain signs of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph "l" part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder motivated by ethnic hatred), at the initiative of the prosecutor's office of the city of Dolgoprudny, the criminal case was transferred to the investigative department for the city of Dolgoprudny of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region for a preliminary investigation.

Investigative measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the crimes committed.

During the investigation of the criminal case, a legal assessment will also be given to the actions of law enforcement agencies "in connection with the untimely response to the planned extremist actions, information about which was contained on the Internet . "

The investigation of the criminal case is under special control in the prosecutor's office of the region.
