Act of vandalism in the Rostov region

On the night of February 14-15, 2010, more than 30 graves were desecrated at the Azov city cemetery in the Rostov Region. Monuments and tombstones were broken or damaged.

At the end of February, a suspect in this case, a 19-year-old local resident, was detained.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Desecration of the bodies of the dead and their burial places").
