Baptists beaten in Khabarovsk Territory

On March 10, 2010, the CNL-news news agency reported that on February 14, two Evangelical Christian Baptists were beaten in the village of Obor, Khabarovsk Territory.

One of the beaten said that the beater was in a state of alcoholic intoxication and stated that he was Orthodox and that he would not tolerate "other believers" in the village.

The believers wrote a statement to law enforcement agencies. The Center for Combating Extremism of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Khabarovsk Territory will also be investigating this case.
