On March 14, 2010, in Murmansk, three young men attacked a native of Azerbaijan.
First, the attackers "began to speak negatively about the man passing by, noting his belonging to the Caucasian nationality ," and then severely beat him.
The victim was hospitalized.
The attackers were identified and detained . The criminal case was initiated under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed on the basis of national hatred or enmity, by a group of persons by prior agreement).
