Members of NS\/WP suspected of committing murder were arrested in St. Petersburg

On March 19, 2010, in Pikalevo (Boksitogorsky district, Leningrad region), two alleged members of the NS/WP nationalist group were arrested and suspected of murder.

In the course of carrying out operational activities against persons of a youth nationalist organization, employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Northwestern Federal District and the Center for Combating Extremism conducted a series of searches on the territory of Pikalevo.

Parts of a human body (a head and fragments of hands) were found in one of the apartments on Metallurgov Street. On March 18, 2009, in the course of further activities in a forest area near Pikalevo, other parts of the body of the murdered man were found.

The rented dwelling, according to the investigation, was used by the participants of the nationalist organization "NS / WP" (national socialism / white power, "National Socialism - White Power") as a headquarters.

Employees of the department, together with the Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the region and investigators from the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Leningrad Region, also seized weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices, knives and literature of "nationalist content", nationalist symbols (photos of Hitler, leaflets). The bomb and weapons were handed over to forensic experts for analysis.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Leningrad Region, a criminal case was initiated under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).

On March 16, 2009, one of the suspects in the murder was detained, confessing to helping to take the body to the forest. On March 17, 2010, the Boksitogorsk police department issued a confession to the second suspect, 26-year-old Pikalevo resident Mark F., who confessed to the murder on February 10, 2010 of a friend Svyatoslav Batyuk with a knife in the back.
