In Adygea, the prosecutor's office demands that schools limit access to "extremist" sites

On March 24, 2010, in Adygea, prosecutors from a number of districts filed suits with district courts against school administrations on the use of computer filtering tools designed to protect minors from visiting "extremist websites." Claims are under consideration.

Also, the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Adygea made a submission to the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Adygea with a demand to eliminate violations of the legislation on the protection of the rights of minors.

Earlier, in the course of the prosecutor's inspection of the implementation of legislation on combating extremist activity in educational institutions of the Republic of Adygea, it was found that 27 schools in the region had free access to Internet sites with "extremist content." Violations were revealed in the Krasnogvardeysky, Maikopsky, Teuchezhsky and Giaginsky regions of the republic.

In particular, the prosecutor's office of the Giaginsky district identified 10 educational institutions in which the necessary means of filtering negative information were not installed, as a result of which students freely visited websites of an "extremist nature."

Note that these access filters do not always cope with the tasks.
