Jehovah's Witnesses detained in Dagestan

On March 3, in Khasavyurt (Dagestan), officers of the FSB Directorate for Dagestan detained two Jehovah's Witnesses. The believers were interrogated for 7 hours, after which their literature was confiscated and released.

An employee of the press service of the FSB Directorate of Dagestan confirmed that “60 pieces of literature were confiscated,” although only 52 of them are banned.

“The detainees were offered literature, and they voluntarily handed it over, writing an explanation, after which they were released,” the FSB said.

The literature has not yet been returned to Jehovah's Witnesses. In this regard, they plan to send a statement to the prosecutor's office.

Let us recall that in January , February and March 2010, Jehovah's Witnesses were detained in various regions of Russia.
