In March 2010, in Tolyatti (Samara region), a Tajik citizen, Mukhammedzhan Gafurov, was severely beaten.
A forty-year-old man came to the city to work, but was soon beaten and robbed, including all his documents were stolen. The attack was accompanied by racist comments from the robbers. The crime was committed in the Shlyuzova microdistrict in the Komsomolsky district of the city.
For a long time, the man refused to provide any assistance, he was supported by local residents, supplying the victim with food. It was only at the end of March that he was hospitalized.
In early April, Mukhammedzhan Gafurov's documents were restored and he was able to leave for his homeland. Nothing has been reported about the investigation into the attack on him.
