The activities of a member of Tablighi Jamaat were suppressed in Irkutsk

On April 5, 2010, it became known that in Irkutsk, FSB officers, together with the migration service, stopped the activities of a member of the banned Tablighi Jamaat organization in Russia. The detainee is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan.

The investigation established that he "conducted religious propaganda among compatriots." The detainee will be expelled from the country.

Recall that in early April, a criminal case was initiated in Transbaikalia under Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of a prohibited public or religious association) in connection with the cooperation of a citizen with this organization.
