Tablighi Jamaat supporter detained in Irkutsk

On April 5, 2010, it became known that a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained in Irkutsk, who, according to the FSB, was involved in the activities of the Tablighi Jamaat organization banned for extremism .

The detainee will be expelled from Russia.

According to the FSB Directorate for the Irkutsk Region, in 2009, employees of the department identified 50 members of this organization.

Recall that we do not consider it lawful to ban the Tablighi Jamaat organization, since it does not promote violence and is not seen in its use.
