The activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir cells have been suppressed in Bashkiria

On April 6, 2010, it became known that in Bashkiria the activities of recognized as extremist by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation were suppressed. the Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami organization

The cells of the organization were liquidated in the cities of Meleuz, Tuymazy and the village of Mrakovo.

In the course of searches at 14 residential addresses, propaganda magazines, brochures, leaflets and videos were confiscated from 11 leaders and members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, including materials recognized by judicial authorities as extremist materials.

The investigative department of the Federal Security Service for the Republic of Bashkiria initiated criminal cases under Part 1, Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of an extremist organization).

On April 15 , it became known that the deputy general prosecutor of the Russian Federation in the Privolzhsk district, Ernest Valeev, approved the indictment in the criminal case against Rustem Latypov, Azat Lukmanov, Albert Shakirov, Ildara Mukhametdinov, Shamil Husniarov and Ilgiz Salakhov.
