On April 8, it became known that the abbot of the Solovetsky Monastery, Archimandrite Porfiry (Shutov), opposed the holding of entertainment and leisure activities on Solovki.
“It seems to us that visiting Solovki for the purpose of entertainment should be excluded,” said Father Porfiry.
He considers it important "that visiting people do not offend the Solovetsky shrines either by their appearance or their behavior."
