Trial on xenophobic online comments resumed in Ufa

On April 19, 2010, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ufa resumed hearings in the case of Sergei Maslennikov, accused under Part 1 of Article 282 (inciting hatred) and Part 2 of Art. 130 (public insult) for comments on the UfaGub website forum.

Recall that in December 2009, this court decided to return the case to the prosecutor's office . However, the latter did not agree with this and appealed against it in the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan.

On February 25, 2010, the Supreme Court of Bashkiria considered the appeal of the prosecutor and decided to cancel the court decision and return the case for retrial.
