Protest picket banned in Altai

On April 20, 2010, it became known that Andrei Nagaytsev, the losing candidate in the election of the mayor of Biysk, was denied the right to hold a protest picket, since the notification contained signs of extremist activity.

In the published excerpt from the notice of the picket, in our opinion, there are no signs of extremism: the organizers intended "to express support for the decisions of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation to reduce tariffs for housing and communal services; to protest against the anti-presidential, anti-government and anti-people activities of the head of Biysk Anatoly Mosievsky, expressed in inaction to reduce housing and communal services tariffs, improve the living conditions of WWII veterans, and also protest against the abuse of power by the head of the city" .

It is reported that the mayor's office also issued a warning to the organizers of the picket.
