The trial in the NSO-North case has begun

On April 21, 2010, preliminary hearings of the criminal case against members of the NSO-North (National Socialist Society) group began in the Moscow District Military Court (MOVS).

In total, 13 neo-Nazis are involved in the case, suspected of committing 39 hate crimes, including 27 murders. (see detailed description of the charges here ). The alleged leader of the organization is Lev Molotkov. The case is being heard by a military court because one of the accused, Sergei Yurov, is also accused of desertion.

The suspects tried to lead the state prosecutor away.

In July 2010, it became known that participants in the trial had submitted requests for a jury trial, but all of them were rejected.

The hearings are held as a visiting session in the building of the Moscow City Court. This was done according to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to ensure the safety of the participants in the process.

Let us recall that the Supreme Court of Russia recognized the “International Public Association NSO” as extremist on February 1, 2010.
