"Slavic Union" recognized as extremist

On April 27, 2010, the Moscow City Court recognized the interregional public movement "Slavic Union" as extremist and banned its activities.

In addition, the court denied the head of the movement, Dmitry Demushkin, the request to terminate the proceedings in connection with the lack of jurisdiction of the Moscow City Court.

Demushkin said that he did not agree with the court decision and was going to appeal it to the court of cassation.
