The Spiritual Board of Directors of the Stavropol Territory was created

On April 28, 2010, a meeting of the Spiritual Board of Muslims (DUM) of Karachay-Cherkessia and the Stavropol Territory, headed by Ismail Berdiev, was held in the Stavropol Territory. At this meeting, 16 of the 22 communities of the Stavropol Territory by a majority of votes decided to withdraw from the DUM of Karachay-Cherkessia and the Stavropol Territory, and create the DUM of the Stavropol Territory.

The new structure was headed by Mufti of Pyatigorsk Muhammad Rakhimov.
