An anti-fascist picket took place in Moscow

On April 26, 2010, an anti-fascist picket was held in Moscow at the monument to Lermontov at the Red Gate. About 20 people took part in the action. The picket was a response to a rally of ultra-right organizations that took place the day before near the monument to A.S. Griboedov.

The protesters held a banner with the image of the ultra-right and the inscription: "They are a disgrace to the hero city" , a banner "Prisoners WITHOUT conscience. Your place is at the bucket" and flags "Antifaschistische Aktion" ("Anti-fascist action"). During the event, the organizers handed out leaflets.

According to one of the participants, another goal of the action is to achieve an open trial of Tikhonov and Khasis. "By making the process closed, law enforcement agencies will sign their own helplessness. Giving in to terrorist threats is a shame for the whole society!" , the anti-fascists said in a statement.

The event passed without incident. The picket was guarded by police officers.
