In Yekaterinburg, the prosecutor's office did not find extremism in the statements of Archbishop Vikenty

On May 14, 2010, it became known that the prosecutor's office of the Verkh-Isetsky district of Yekaterinburg, at the request of human rights activist Vyacheslav Bashkov, checked the statements of Archbishop Vikenty for extremism.

The response of the prosecutor's office states that the archbishop's statements "do not contain an administrative offense <...> do not contain propaganda that incites social, national, religious hatred and enmity."

V. Bashkov is invited to apply to the court "for the protection of violated rights" if "this statement" caused him "moral and moral suffering."
