Jehovah's Witnesses filed a supervisory appeal to the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation against the decision to ban the organization in Taganrog and some materials

On May 12, 2010, lawyers for the religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses filed a supervisory complaint with the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation against the decisions of the Judicial Collegium for Civil Cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Rostov Regional Court to recognize the local religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses "Taganrog" as extremist and to ban a number of materials of the organization.
