A survey was conducted in Chechnya on the degree of influence of Islam on the population of the republic

From April 29 to May 7, 2010, a survey was conducted in Chechnya, one of the goals of which was to identify the degree of influence of Islam on the population of the republic, as well as the attitude of Grozny residents to extremism and other confessions. During the survey, it turned out that over 80% of the population of Grozny performs namaz daily.

A total of 200 residents of Grozny over 16 were interviewed.

The majority of respondents in Grozny (82%) noted that they pray every day, 5% - every week. 12% admitted that they pray from time to time. 1% found it difficult to answer this question.

8% of respondents stated that they visit the mosque every day, 43% - every week. 24% go to the mosque occasionally and 8% do it monthly. 17% found it difficult to give a definite answer to this question.
