A number of protocols on administrative offenses against Hare Krishnas have been drawn up in Smolensk
On April 6, 2010 in Smolensk, law enforcement agencies drew up 3 protocols against two citizens of the Republic of Belarus who were distributing religious literature in the city. On May 17, 2010, the regional prosecutor's office made a submission to the Chairman of the Council of the Religious Organization Smolensk community "Society for Krishna Consciousness".
Two protocols were drawn up for missionary activity without submitting documents to the local administration, one for violating the release of outgoing data on religious literature (Article 13.22 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). These protocols were drawn up in accordance with the law "On missionary activity in the territory of the Smolensk region", adopted by the Smolensk Regional Duma
May 29, 2003.
During the consideration of the first two protocols, it turned out that they were drawn up by an unauthorized person. Therefore, they were sent for revision. Judgments have not yet been issued in these cases.
In addition, on May 26, 2010, a protocol was drawn up for violating the rules for holding cultural and entertainment events. The document was drawn up due to the fact that several USC followers were singing "Hare Krishna" in the park.
