On May 23, 2010, in Ryazan, a group of neo-Nazis armed with stones attacked anti-fascist Konstantin Lunkin. The attack took place on the anti-fascist’s birthday near the entrance to his house. Nazi skinheads brutally beat K. Lunkin and broke his head with a stone. On May 31, 2010, the young man died in the hospital from his injuries without regaining consciousness.
The suspects, two local school graduates, were detained on the day of the attack and were identified by a witness. However, they were released. They were released based on the parents' statements that their children were at home at the time of the attack. According to Ryazan anti-fascists, law enforcement agencies did not show any activity in clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
