The teaching of military-industrial complex was discussed in the Voronezh region
On June 1, 2010, the annual meeting of the leadership of the education department of the Voronezh region, the institute of advanced training, educational institutions and teachers with the ruling bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church and representatives of the diocese took place in Voronezh. At the meeting, the teaching of defense education in the region was discussed.
The head of the diocesan department of catechesis and religious education, Archpriest Vasily Popov, noted that in 2010 there was a slight increase in the number of electives. At the same time, in three administrative districts there is no teaching at all, and in twelve it has been reduced.
There was also an increase in the number of educational institutions where defense education is taught. The subject is taught in 500 educational institutions in the region, with a total number of schools of about 900.
Let us recall that on April 1, 2010, an experiment began in Russian schools to teach the basics of religious cultures and secular ethics.
