Arsons of cars in the Perm region

In June 2010, in one night in the city of Kudymkar, Perm Territory, two cars were set on fire, located half a kilometer apart. The cars belonged to brothers, immigrants from Georgia, who have lived in the city for many years. The victims themselves emphasize the synchronicity of the actions of the arsonists - the fires occurred almost simultaneously.

According to the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, cases of arsons of cars have been recorded in the region before, and the victims always turned out to be natives of the southern republics of the near abroad. In 2009, only in the Kudymkar region, three such incidents were recorded, and in the region itself - several dozen.

The selectivity of the choice of victims suggests that the arson may be motivated by the racist attitudes of the perpetrators. This version is not excluded by the investigation.
