Searches of RONS activists

On June 22, 2010, large-scale searches took place in the apartments of members of the Russian National Union (RONS) in different cities of Russia.

In particular, searches took place in the city of Zheleznodorozhny (Moscow region) in the apartment of the organization’s leader Igor Artemov, and in the apartment of the head of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of RONS Dmitry Krivtsov. In addition, activists’ apartments were searched in Moscow, Vladimir, Pokrov, Dimitrovgrad, Ryazan, Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Sarov, and Diveevo.

According to right-wing websites, the searches took place “at the homes of those suspected of distributing extremist literature.”

As a result, computers, books, disks, archival materials of the organization, posters, flags, banners, and T-shirts with RONS symbols were confiscated.

The searches were carried out according to decisions of various courts of the city of Vladimir

Let us recall that in February 2010, against the backdrop of the election campaign in the Petushinsky district of the Vladimir region, law enforcement agencies also conducted searches and detentions of RONS activists. RONS program documents were recognized as extremist . was opened against one of the RONS members, Alexander Tindikov, And a criminal case for distributing xenophobic leaflets.
