School history teacher turned out to be an anti-Semite

On June 8, 2010, a 27-year-old history teacher was tried in Kozelsk, Kaluga Region, who was accused of inciting national and religious hatred (Part 1, Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).   The young man created a website on the Internet, where he published anti-Semitic texts, texts containing harsh statements in the direction of children born from mixed marriages, and texts insulting Christians and Jews.   During the preliminary investigation, it turned out that the suspect was suffering from a mental illness.    The Kozelsky District Court considered the young man's commission of the alleged crime proven, terminated the proceedings and sent its decision to a psychiatric clinic, where the issue of his treatment in a hospital will be decided.   Until the court decision was made, the young man continued to teach history lessons in one of the Kozelsk secondary schools.
