On September 22, 2010, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court banned the activities of the National Socialist Workers' Party of Russia" (NSPRP) in connection with the implementation of the extremist activities. The decision of the court did not enter into force.
The Prosecutor of the Nizhny Novgorod region in August 2010 sent a statement about prohibition of the activities of the group whose members committed arson and attacks motivated by hatred. The prosecutor's application was granted in full.
The court decision was based on the documents of the organization (NSPR and its "structural unit" - "Russian Elite Detachment" (REO)), the actions of members of the organization (recall that in January 2010 they were convicted by Gorodetsky city court of the Nizhny Novgorod region to various terms of punishment) and racist materials confiscated from convicts at the stage of preliminary investigation and recognized as extremist (Russian Volya magazine (2008. March. 11) and the booklet "Some Recommendations on Street Violence").
According to the materials of the case, the NSRPR group existed in Zavolzhye, Nizhny Novgorod Region, from January 2008 (and operated for at least 10 months). In Gorodets there was a "structural unit" of the NSRPR - the Russian Elite Detachment. The head of the NSRPR, Roman Novikov, called himself the "Fuhrer", the "Rotenfuehrers" were subordinate to him. The group had its own charter, membership cards, "memos (secret ciphers of negotiations)." The head of the REO, Evgeny Khvostov reported directly to the Fuhrer.
