In the Republic of Mari El, a criminal investigation has been completed under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation
On September 29, 2010, the UPC RF for the Republic of Mari El announced the completion investigation of a criminal case against a student of a technical school, 18-year-old Andrei Mezentsev, who placed from spring to June 2010 on his personal page on the VKontakte network xenophobic images and statements.
A. Mezentsev is charged with Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation human dignity).
The criminal case was transferred to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment.
