On the night of October 7, 2010 in Barnal (Altai krai) at the intersection of Depovskaya and the Union of Republics streets of the city, anti-Semitic and racist inscriptions made in black and red paint appeared on the roller shutters and the wall of the building of the “Jewish Community of the City of Barnaul”.
The Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Altai Territory initiated a criminal case on part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred or enmity, done in public).
Chief Rabbi of the Altai Territory Yisroel Noah Kamenetsky stated that This is not the first time such inscriptions appear on the building. In addition, earlier Unknown people in the rabbi's house broke the windows.
During the investigation of the case xenophobic graffiti was found on the walls of two multi-storey residential buildings on Lenin Avenue.
