Act of vandalism in Volgograd

On the night of October 26-27, in the Central District of Volgograd, near the Stalingrad Battle panorama museum, unidentified people broke an Orthodox cross. It was installed and consecrated at the construction site of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

“There is evidence of the use of physical force by several adults. I consider this act of vandalism an outrage on the bright feelings of all believing countrymen,” said Hieromonk Lazar (Kulikov), representative of the Volgograd diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
