Act of vandalism in the Oryol region

On November 6, 2010, an act of vandalism was committed in the village of Khomutovo, Oryol region. Xenophobic inscriptions appeared on the memorial and the military grave, and vandals painted a swastika on the pedestal of the Lenin monument. The incident took place in the very center of the village, not far from the district administration building.

The initiation of a criminal case has not yet been reported.

Note that on the eve of the Oryol region, another monument to Lenin was also attacked by vandals. On the night of October 30, in the city of Bolkhov, unknown people set fire to a statue of Lenin. Previously, the monument to Lenin in Bolotovo was repeatedly attacked. In particular, three hunting rifles were fired at the head of the statue. bullets.
