On the night of November 27, 2010, police officers of the Stavropol Territory prevented a mass brawl in the city of Zelenokumsk between local Chechens and Cossacks.
According to law enforcement agencies, on November 26 there was a conflict over a minor who complained about the natives of Chechnya, who tried to force her into their car. A group of young people, residents Zelenokumsk decided to stand up for the girl. In response from the salon car on them was opened fire from traumatic and firearms.
As a result, 7 Cossacks and one native of Chechnya received wounds and injuries of varying severity. One of the victims underwent abdominal surgery.
A group of about 100 people, Cossacks and natives of Chechnya, gathered at the scene. Fortunately, the police managed to prevent conflict and convince everyone to go home.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism motivated by national hatred). Weapons were confiscated, the owners and passengers of the car were taken to the police department. Sources
