Detentions in different cities of Russia

On December 18, 2010, in some cities of Russia, young people were detained people who tried to carry out unauthorized actions.

The day before, calls for such actions were circulated on the Internet.

In Volgograd were detained more than 150 people who tried to hold an unauthorized action. A group of young people in masks marched in a column in the city center, shouting xenophobic slogans and trying to provoke riots. The marchers were arrested and delivered to the police department.

In Samara in the park of culture and rest metallurgists tried to gather about 100 minors young people. On the way to the park, they were detained and taken to police station "for identification purposes". More police officers held preventive conversations with minors and "handed them over to their parents."

December 18, 2010 in Krasnoyarsk the head of the headquarters of the People's Militia named after Minin and Pozharsky (NOMP) in Krasnoyarsk Oleg was detained Emelianenko and three more "comrades-in-arms". December 19, 2010 in Krasnoyarsk detained over 20 young people.

In St. Petersburg, police squads were on duty all day, but the situation in the city remained calm. During the day it was reported about the arrest of three people. At Gostiny Dvor "during checking suspicious persons" were detained 15-year-old a teenager with armature, a young man of "Slavic appearance" with bandaged hands and cap and a native of the Caucasus.

In Nizhny Novgorod, a local the administration banned the "picket against ethno-crime" in the city.
