Format-18 recognized as extremist

On December 20, 2010, the Moscow City Court ruled to recognize the Interregional Public Association “Format-18” as extremist and to ban its activities.

Let us recall that the Moscow prosecutor sent a statement to the Moscow City Court demanding that Format-18 be recognized as extremist on September 10, 2010. The court found the prosecutor's demands justified and satisfied them in full.

The leader of the radical nationalist organization “Format-18” was Maxim Martsinkevich (Tesak). After Tesak was convicted in 2008, the organization virtually ceased to exist.
