In December 2010, as a result of racist and neo-Nazi motivated violence killed 2 and injured at least 68 people (in December 2009, 3 were killed and 22 were injured person). The surge of violence in December 2010 is associated with the events on Manezhnaya Square and attacks subsequent days in Moscow. In addition to the capital, incidents were recorded in Petersburg, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don.
In total, according to preliminary data in 2010 from similar attacks in 44 regions of Russia killed 37 people and at least 368 were injured.
In terms of violence, counting from the beginning of the year, still leading Moscow with the Moscow region (19 dead, 174 injured), Petersburg with the Leningrad region (2 dead, 47 wounded) and Nizhny Novgorod (4 dead, 17 injured). More than 10 people were injured in Tomsk (12 injured) and Rostov-on-Don (13 wounded).

The most significant event of December, of course, was riots on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow on December 11, 2010. As a result, everything turned into clashes with the police, mass beatings of people with non-Slavic appearance in the Moscow metro and clashes between nationalist groups of Slavic and Caucasian youth in subsequent days.

For xenophobic propaganda (art. 282) in December 2010 was 4 sentences were passed - in Astrakhan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Stavropol and Ufa. 4 people were convicted in them, in including three defendants received suspended sentences.

The Federal List was also updated in December extremist organizations. It was supplemented by paragraph 18. - Nizhny Novgorod Regional Public Association "National Socialist Workers' Party of Russia" ("NSRPR").
Thus, as of December 29, 2010, this list includes includes 18 organizations whose activities are prohibited by the courts, and continuation of this activity is punishable under Art. 282-2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization activities of an extremist organization).
