Members of the Islamic Jamaat were sentenced in Bashkiria

On January 21, 2011 it became known that the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan ruled verdict on four members of the organization "Islamic Jamaat".

According to the investigation , in 2004 this organization prepared terrorist attacks during the celebration of the millennium of Kazan. In 2008, several members "Islamic Jamaat" was convicted . four more - two men and two women - tried to hide in Bashkiria. In September 2007 in during the skirmish, they killed three policemen chasing them and moved to Orenburg region, where another police officer was wounded.

The court found them guilty under Part 2 of Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of an illegal armed formation or participation in it), Part 2 1 st. 30 and part 3 of Art. 205 (preparation to commit a terrorist act), Part. 3 art. 222 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying weapons, their main parts, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices), paragraph "a" part 4 of Art. 158 (theft), Art. 317 (assault on life law enforcement officer), p.p. "a", "b", "h" part 2 of Art. 105 (murder) Part 3 Art. 30 and p.p. "a", "b", "h" part 2 of Art. 105 (attempted murder).

Convicted men sentenced to 23 years in a strict regime colony, their wives - to 3 years and 4 months in a general regime colony.
