On February 4, 2011, it became known about the conflict around construction of a mosque in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. In 2009 the Muslim organization "Nur" the authorities of the Khabarovsk Territory allocated land for construction mosque, in the summer of 2010 the ceremony of laying the first stone took place.
In November 2010, the city administration announced revocation of the building permit, citing the fact that the project does not specify term, and the issue of construction was not made public hearing.
Muslims presented evidence that the hearings were carried out, and the deadline is indicated in the documents.
January 19, 2011 Deputy Head of the Committee for public, political and religious associations of the government Khabarovsk Territory, Leonid Mitrofanov expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the construction the mosque is run by an organization that is part of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Asian parts of Russia (DUM AChR). The official offered to transfer the right to build another organizations subordinate to the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims (TSDUM). Organization "Nur" appealed to the investigative committee Khabarovsk Territory with a statement on the initiation of criminal proceedings against L. Mitrofanov cases (article not specified).
Recall that this is not the first time that officials have put pressure on Muslims, trying to force them to move from one muftiate to another.
