The Federal Migration Service is ready to support the creation of diocesan migrant integration centers

On February 11, 2011, a meeting of representatives of Federal Migration Service of Russia and the Synodal Department for Church Affairs charity and social service. The meeting participants discussed prospects for the creation of centers for the integration of migrants in several dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Head of the Integration Assistance Department of the Federal Migration Service of Russia **Tatyana Bazhan said that the FMS can provide advice on the application of legislation and help in settling relations with employers who do not want to let foreign citizens to such centers. Employees of diocesan centers intend to organize work on teaching migrants the Russian language.

Recall that in January 2011, the recommendations of the Synodal** Department of on the relationship between the Church and society in the field of interethnic relations and migration policy.
