Dmitry Medvedev called on journalists to correctly use Islamic terminology

February 11, 2011 during the meeting of the Presidium of the State Council, held in Ufa, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev criticized journalists who incorrectly use Islamic terminology.

"Clichés and definitions from practice are often used activities of separatists and extremists. They say that "today was the emir of such and such a jamaat was detained. "Which emir? What jamaat?" - the president said.
