On February 14, 2011, it became known that in the regional center of Nurlat (Tatarstan) the activity of the madrasah was suspended. Law enforcement suspended the license due to the participation of graduates of the educational institution in extremist activity and violation of the rules of stay by the leadership of the madrasah foreigners in Russia.

In addition, most teachers of the educational institution do not has a pedagogical education.

At the end of 2007, law enforcement agencies identified among residents of the Nurlat district 4 militants trained abroad. All of them - graduates of the Nurlat Madrasah.

During 2010, more than 20 visitors, including foreigners who illegally lived in the building of the madrasah.
