In Udmurtia they reported on the fight against crimes of an “extremist nature”

On February 15, 2011, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Udmurt Republic reported that in 2010, 3 criminal cases were opened for crimes of an “extremist nature” (see the certificate of the SOVA Center “ What constitutes a “crime of an extremist nature” ”).

According to the SOVA Center, the following criminal cases were initiated in the region:

• in March 2010 in Izhevsk - under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred) regarding the application of anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls of the Jewish Community Center building.
• in April 2010 in Glazov - under Part 2 of Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (beatings inflicted based on national hatred) for the beating of a black teenager .
• in June 2010 in Izhevsk - under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred) in connection with xenophobic chants at a football match
