An agreement was signed between the Bryansk diocese and the regional police department

On February 21, 2011, it became known that the agreement had been signed on cooperation between the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Bryansk region and the Bryansk diocese for 2011-2013 years. The agreement includes more than 50 areas of activity. In particular, it is envisaged that the police officers ensure order near the temples during church holidays, make donations for the construction of churches, and clergymen pray for policemen sent to hot spots, support the families of the victims, take part in the spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren together with school inspectors.

During the signing ceremony of the agreement, new forms of cooperation - joint fight against extremism on religious grounds, countering scammers acting under the guise of Orthodox clergy.

The police called on the Orthodox to pay more attention to the timely registration of monastic workers.
