On February 23, 2011, the founder of the lib.ru network library, Maxim Moshkov, announced that he was removing the Samizdat website from the domain www.zhurnal.lib.ru, since he was unable to resolve the problem of banning the entire site for extremism due to the materials of one author.
Let us recall that in April 2009, the Cherepovets City Court banned materials posted on the websites www.barbos111.narod.ru and www.zhurnal.lib.ru for extremism. The ban concerned the materials of a certain Viktor Dunaev, but in the court decision, and then in the Federal List of Extremist Literature, these particular addresses were designated as prohibited.
The server of modern literature "Samizdat" is intended for creating author's literary sections; according to Moshkov, the site has more than 56,000 author's sections and about 800,000 works.
The magazine moved to samlib.ru.
