A trial in the case of a mass brawl in Zelenokumsk has begun in the Stavropol region

On March 1, 2011, the Soviet District Court of the Stavropol Territory began litigation hearings on the case of an armed conflict between local Chechens and Cossacks in November 2010 in Zelenokumsk.

There are three brothers in the dock - Magomed Gafurov, Issa Gafurov and Ayub Gafurov, who shot at the Cossacks, three of whom ended up in the hospital with gunshot wounds. Gafurov is charged with paragraph "d" part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional causing grievous bodily harm out of hooligan motives). Unclear whether there is a hate motive in the accusation.

In total, eight victims and dozens of witnesses.

Recall that the conflict began on November 27, 2011 with the fact that a group of young residents of Zelenokumsk decided to stand up for a minor who complained to them about the actions of local Chechen residents in November 2010. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism). Later remand the department at the Department of Internal Affairs for the Sovetsky District opened three more criminal cases on this fact under Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing moderate harm to health), according to clause "a" part 2 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of minor bodily harm from hooligan motives), as well as under part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional damage and destruction of another's property).

On December 2, 2010, another criminal case was initiated against three Gafurov brothers, two of whom were detained on December 2. The third suspect, Isa Gafurov, was previously arrested on suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, a measure was chosen against him restraint in the form of detention.
