On April 3, 2011, the cleric of the Barnaul diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, priest Sergiy Belyaev, accompanied by a police squad, a security company and specialists from the Castle Service company, arrived at the Ascension Church, the community of which came under the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Those who arrived in the absence of parishioners changed the lock.
When its rector, Priest Georgy Titov, arrived at the temple, Father Sergius announced that an inventory was being taken in the temple, and the entry of someone from the community into the territory would be considered an attack on property.
Let us recall that earlier the court ordered the ROCOR community “not to create obstacles” in the use of the church by the Ascension parish of the ROC. Sources
