On April 5, 2011, the RF Investigative Committee for the Novosibirsk Region announced the verdict, delivered to a 48-year-old resident of the city of Iskitim, Novosibirsk Region, Sergey Panfilov, who from September 2009 to May 2010 under the pseudonym “Wiped up your brains” posted xenophobic, anti-Christian and anti-Jewish texts, as well as materials recognized as extremist.
The court found S. Panfilov guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred) and sentenced him to 10 months in prison conditional freedom.
The verdict of the court entered into force.
