On April 11, 2011, the investigative department for the city of Krasnodar opened criminal case against a 65-year-old resident of the city, suspected of participating in extremist community (part 2 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The case was initiated on the basis of materials received from the FSB in Krasnodar edge.
According to investigators, the accused is a member of a neo-pagan nationalist organization "Rada of the Kuban Spiritual and Ancestral Power Rus" (more about association "Spiritual-tribal Power of Russia" can be viewed here ) and since 2006 has been the head of the Krasnodar association prohibited in April 2006 for extremist activity. Materials published by the organization were declared extremist in March 2006.
From April 8, 2010 to February 10, 2011, the accused sent letters to the authorities and law enforcement agencies of Krasnodar with appeals “to overthrow of the existing constitutional order, violation of the integrity of Russia, incitement of national and religious hatred".
Consideration is being given to the choice of a preventive measure against the suspect.
Recall that in April 2011, the Moscow Regional Court granted the claim of the prosecutor's office Moscow Region on the prohibition of the activities of an interregional public association "Spiritual-tribal Power of Rus'".
