April 17, 2011 in the Moscow region Vostochnoe Degunino took place another protest action of local residents on the construction of an Orthodox church on territory of the Northern Dubki park. About two hundred people took part in the action. Initiative participants of the action collected signatures in defense of the nature reserve.
On April 19, 2011, Russkaya Liniya reported that before the start of the action, Orthodox believers served a prayer service at the site of the alleged temple in Dubki Park: « Support members of the Orthodox community of Eastern Degunino came supporters of the movement "People's Cathedral" and registered Cossacks from the "Union of Cossacks of Russia"; gathered around the place for the church under construction, the Orthodox held a prayer service with reading Akathist to the Monk Seraphim of Sarov .
Recall that in February 2011 the prefecture of the SAO of Moscow banned Orthodox community in the construction of a temple on the territory of the park "Dubki". March 2011 The community was offered a plot of land at Keramichesky proezd, property 77.
