An anti-Caucasian rally took place in Moscow

On April 23, 2011, in Moscow on Chistye Prudy near the monument to Griboedov, a rally was held under the slogans “Stop feeding the Caucasus!” The event was organized by the Russian Civil Union (RCU) movement.

According to the Central Internal Affairs Directorate, about 200 people took part in the action, performing under the flags of “various nationalist movements,” state tricolors and imperial standards. Activists of the RGS and the Russian Social Movement (ROD) say that 400 people took part in the action.

The rally began with a minute of silence for “victims of ethnic crimes.” The event was opened by Vladimir Tor, who stated that “the Caucasus is a “crocodile”, and the Russian people are practically eaten by it.” “Ten times more government funds are spent on a citizen of Chechnya than on any Russian,” he explained. In addition, during the action, the leader of the ROD, Konstantin Krylov, spoke, declaring that “Let the Kremlin village stop feeding the Caucasus and feed us!” Also speaking were Anton Susov (RGS) and blogger Maxim Lobanov (teh_nomad), who proposed limiting funding for the Caucasus.

During the action, the text of the report “Caucasus – 2011”, published by the ROD, was distributed.

The event was attended by representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party.

At the end of the rally, some of its participants went to lay flowers at the site of the death of fan Yuri Volkov, who was killed near the Chistye Prudy station in July 2010. Sources
